Shiney Ahuja had a clean image unlike other bollywood celebs until he was accused of raping his 20-year-old maid, in the year 2009. The maid complained that she was raped while they were alone at the house. It was heard that he threatened her life to stop her from revealing the matter to the public. In the beginning Shiney denied the charges that were made against him, but later on he had to confess. The case took an entirely different turn when the maid changed her word and declared that such an incident never occurred.

In the year 2011 he was convicted and sentenced to seven years imprisonment. Currently, he is out on bail and he doesn’t have the permission to leave the country without the court’s consent. The date of his appeal hearing has not been set yet.
