Ask: Confirm from your employees what they have understood about your company. Listen to them. It is always better to listen to them and provide the required knowledge instead of providing half- filled information. If they go wrong in any part of their work, you are responsible for their failure because, you have not performed your role dutifully. Don’t react emotionally when you are at work, think practical and analyze.

Involve: Discuss better ways to perform a task at office. Concentrate on the employee performance, not on the person. No employee will share his weaknesses. Seek SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-framed answers). If this does not work, talk to the employee and explain to him what has to be done, irrespective of discussing all the problems surrounded by him. This is a commitment towards the company by him.

Appreciate: If your employee performs his role well, learn to appreciate his hard work. Show it in a mail or a well done card which will enhance his productivity and he will not only perform better but also enjoy the work he does.
