Van Natta vacated his position in less than a year's time, because he couldn’t find it worth to be in the firm and he left it being virtually no better than it was when he started. Rumors say that he had been trying to get fired to get out of the failing company.

          Fritz Henderson took over as General motors CEO after President Obama called for Rick Wagoner to step down during the auto bailout crisis. 

But Henderson too couldn’t prove himself to be a good choice. He was not able to cope in working with the GM board and he didn't execute to their liking. By not being flexible with the management there, his chances for a successful future at the company diminished.
