Established in 1907, Tata Steel has managed to grab the second rank in the list of top internationalized Indian companies in 2013. Being one among the geographically-diversified steel producers in the world, Tata steel grew its global footprints in 26 countries and has shown its commercial presence in 50 countries.

The company made a $12.98 billion acquisition of Corus Anglo-Dutch steelmaker in 2006, which became one of the biggest acquisitions by an Indian company.

It has the total revenue of 132, 900 crore with the asset value of 125, 800 crores respectively.

In 1907, Tata started out as a global company with a joint venture between Tata Sons and James Finlay and Company, which was a U.K. based tea Plantation Company. From then it was called as Tata Finlay.

When the James Finlay Company parted out in 1983, the company was renamed as Tata Tea. And when Starbucks decided to establish their business in India, and was looking for a partner, Tata Global Beverages was the obvious choice for them. However, the joint venture between the companies is 50:50 and so it is called Tata Starbucks.
