2. Company: Tata Group
Founder: Jamsetji Tata

Tata group was found by Jamsetji Tata in 1868 and has been listed as the most successful and influential companies in India. Jamsetji Tata was known as the "Father of Indian Industry".

Jamsetji Tata had set up 4 goals that were setting up an iron and steel company, a world-class learning institution, a unique hotel and a hydro-electric plant. But, only the hotel became a reality during his lifetime with the inauguration of the Taj Mahal Hotel, Bombay. In 1903 it was the only hotel that had electricity.

Today, Tata group owns Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Global Beverages, Tata Teleservices, Titan Industries, Tata Communications and Taj Hotels.

3. Company: Horlicks
Founders: William and James Horlick

Horlicks was found by two British men William and his brother James Horlick. Since James was a chemist and was working for a company that made dried baby powder, this helped him invent some formulas for their own company. In 1873, they started their own company and named it as “J&W Horlicks”.

Initially they called this melted milk drink as “Diastoid” and later named it as Horlicks. Infact Horlicks became famous among adults and children in India. The slogan it carried was “Horlicks Infant & Invalids Food.”
