Larry Page is an American computer scientist and internet entrepreneur and Sergy Mikhaylovich Brin is a Soviet-born American computer scientist. Google was a product of the research project by Page and Brin when both were PH.D students at Stanford University. Their paper, “The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine,” became the basis for Google.
Why their partnership works: Sergey and Larry have similar technology backgrounds which made them bond over their project which is later transformed in to a multi billion dollar company.

It is an American multinational company that develops, manufactures, licenses and wide range of computer related researches.

How their partnership was formed:
Both were the childhood friends with a passion for computer programming. The January 1975 issue of Popular Electronics featured Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems’ Altair 8800 microcomputer. Allen found that Gates and he could work on a Basic interpreter for the devices. Gates claimed to have a working interpreter, and MITS requested a demonstration. Since they didn't actually have one, Allen worked on a simulator for the Altair while Gates developed the interpreter.
They officially established Microsoft on April 4, 1975, with Gates as the CEO.
Why their partnership works:
They shared love for computers. The time Gates claimed he has an interpreter programmed which he didn’t actually had, both worked to keep the claim. Ever since they complimented each other in transforming the company they founded in to a success story, a multi billion dollar company which made Gates the world’s wealthiest man.
