2. Apple made a deal with the devil?

Apple is a brand that commands respect. But wait till you read on about its patent debacle. Apple handed over a dozen patents to a tech company called Digitude Innovations, a patent troll. This company is known to acquire patents and then sue other tech companies for licensing fees. Companies usually agree to an out of court settlement because it is much less expensive.

The question here is why did apple just handover 12 patents to them when it was clear that the patent giant will use it to sue other companies? There could be two scenarios. The first, where apple might have hired Digitude Innovations to go after other tech companies. The other could be that Digitude were aiming to sue apple first. In order to save itself the trouble apple handed over the patents. Either way it is difficult for us to see apple in a positive light here. We expect them to maintain ethical standards which they seem to be conveniently ignoring.
