Judy Estrin, the chief Executive Officer at JLabs, has been brought up by a family of successful technologists, Says Carolyn Leighton.

Earlier she worked at Zilog Corporation, where she led a team that developed one among the first commercial LAN systems. Moreover she has co-founded three companies manufacturing networking devices and software.

She was the CTO at Cisco Systems and a board member of Disney, FedEx, Rockwell and Sun Microsystems in the years 1998-2000.

She authored the book, ‘Crossing the Innovation Gap: Reigniting the Spark of Creativity in a Global Economy’ in 2008. The reason behind the book was her feeling that the US had become too much focused on short-term gains neglecting the innovations that are to be carried out in an organizational and national level. In its key chapters Estrin explains, the Innovative Ecosystem, Core Values of Innovation and National Issues.
