7. AM Naik

Aninl Manibhai Naik applied for engineering programme in Mukand Iron & Steel Works. His ineptness towards English didn’t allow him into the engineering programme. Thus he joined Nestler Boilers.

He left Nestler Boilers in 1964 and joined L&T in 1965 as a junior engineer. By 1986, he became the General Manager and later in 1999, he became the CEO and the Managing Director.

In 2009, he became the Chairman on Larsen & Turbo.

In 2008, he received 'Economic Times Awards-Business Leader of the Year' award and was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2009.

8. Anand G Mahindra

Anand Mahindra is a Harvard College graduate. He also holds a MBA from Harvard Business School (1981).

He joined Mahindra group in 1991 as a Deputy Managing Director. He took the charge of the Managing Director from his uncle Keshub Mahindra in 1997.

Anand’s leadership helped the Mahindra group to grow rapidly. Under his leadership, Mahindra group acquired major names in the corporate market. He acquired Satyam Computer Services (2009), Reva Electric Vehicles (2010) and Ssangyong Motor Company (2010).
Anand Mahindra took Indian SUV to the global market with the launch of ‘Mahindra Scorpio’.
