The years that have followed the incident has been unforgettable, for the communities who were affected and the companies who were involved in it, which includes BP and country’s politicians. The communities along the Gulf still hold a lot of anger against BP. The company has indulged 2,000 people on the cleanup efforts. The fishermen, oystermen and shrimpers are apprehensive about the long term health of their catch, as it has deeply affected the environment. The National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration estimates that 30 percent of the oil that gushed into the Gulf’s water remains unaccounted.
