This chocolate manufacturer company in the late 1970s was involved in the scandal for unethical marketing of artificial baby milk especially in the developing nations. The War on Want published a report called, “The Baby Killer.”The boycott of the product was issued in 1977 and went on till Nestle agreed to abide by the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes. Other than that the company has attracted criticism for its use of genetically modified ingredients, cocoa and coffee buying policies etc. they were also implicated in lobbying against vaccination of livestock during the British Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak in 2001. In 2010 they were criticized by Greenpeace for using environmentally destructive palm oil in chocolate.
