Manan Trivedi

The Iraq war veteran and Democrat Manan Trivedi is planning for a third run for Congress, hoping that the retirement of U.S. representative Jim Gerlach  provides the opening that he needs.

Manan Trivedi, has announced that he will contest for the third consecutive House of Representatives election from sixth Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

Trivedi’s decision to run for the election has set up a Democratic primary involving two other veterans namely, Ryan Costello and Michael Parrish, a businessman and former Army aviator from Malvern, who are already in the race, making his first ever-run for public office.

The battle makes it even more interesting because the open seat and narrowly-divided district has created the potential for one of the tightest races in the Philadelphia region. Even though the district is of slightly Republican, it is one of the most politically balanced seats in the country, which features moderate voters on both sides.

“I think this is a great opportunity to get a refreshing change in this district,” exclaimed Trivedi.
