10 Indian-Americans In Race For 2014 U.S. Polls
Amerdeep Kaleka
Top Republican leader Paul Ryan, who was the vice presidential candidate in the 2012 elections, has been welcomed with some serious challenge from the Indian-American Amerdeep Kaleka, from the first Congressional district of Wisconsin.
At the very least, Amardeep Kaleka looks to be an unconventional candidate for Congress. That is apparent from any media coverage of his candidacy.
As an out-of-state political apprentice, Kaleka would be typically doomed running against Zerban. But if his distinctive personal story, which has already garnered him attention from local and national media, translates into a couple of donors of volunteers, he may have a chance.
So far everything seems to be fine according to Kaleka and the party officials have responded positively to his campaign and are waiting to see whether he proves to be a competent fundraiser and prominent candidate.
Kaleka says, the tragic death of his father at the hands of a white supremacist, inspired him to enter politics.
