Harrison is perhaps the most successful and efficient social entrepreneurs of all time with his nonprofit organization called ‘Charity: Water’. During his visit to Liberia, this club promoter witnessed the worst tragedy; he realized that most of the illness came through unclean water. Almost a billion of them in the world do not have access to pure and clean water. Scott Harrison, through his organization delivered drinking water to more than a billion people in 17 different countries around the world. The 2011 economic crisis did not stop him, though it stopped other ventures; he said “We give away 100% of our profits. Our shareholders are people in 17 countries around the world waiting for a rig to drive into a village and provide clean water to a few hundred people living there. We use the word business so much more than nonprofit, even though that’s what we are.”

Hollender is the founder of America’s largest distributor of non-toxic, all-natural cleaning, paper and personal care products, Seventh Generation Inc. The company emphasis on saving the nature form hazardous substances and chemicals. In addition this company also provides 10% of pre-tax profits, to fund nonprofit organizations and businesses focused on saving the environment and nature. Seventh Generation saw huge revenues approximately $150 million. Hollender was pushed down from his roles and responsibilities but this did not stop him, he still focuses on service, writes books on responsible business practices and now, he is also the founder of Community Capital Bank.
