It is commonly referred to as DR Congo is located in central Africa and is the second largest country in Africa. In 1998, the second Congo War which is also known as the “African World War” broke up between nine African nations and twenty armed groups that devastated the country. Instead of signing peace accords in 2003 the war continued in the east. The violence and torture that took place in the east of the country is regarded as the worst in the world and the war was the deadliest after the World War II as many people died and many died due to diseases like malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition.
