Godrej Properties Enters Indore with Acquisition of 46-acre Land for Residential Development

Godrej Properties, a prominent real estate developer under the Godrej Industries Group, has acquired a 46-acre land parcel in Indore for plotted residential development. The project is expected to have a development potential of approximately 1.16 million square feet of saleable area, according to a company release.

Located off the Indore-Ujjain Road an emerging major corridor that is set to be widened to a 6-lane highway the site is positioned in a crucial residential and commercial zone of Indore. This strategic location provides connectivity to significant landmarks including Indore international airport, Indore Junction railway station, educational institutions, and medical facilities.

Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO of Godrej Properties, highlighted the growing interest in residential plotted development and the potential of the Indore-Ujjain Road micro-market. “Residential plotted development has gained significant traction in recent years, and this location aligns well with our strategy to expand into fast-growing cities”, Pandey said.

The expansion is expected to benefit from the city's development initiatives, including proposed Metro line extensions, growth in corporate and IT sectors, and ongoing infrastructure projects. This acquisition marks Godrej Properties' entry into Indore's burgeoning real estate market.
