Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, widely recognized for his 'Khiladi' roles and fitness-driven lifestyle, has made headlines once again but this time for a major real estate transaction. After selling two of his apartments in Borivali, Mumbai, in March, the actor has now offloaded a commercial property in the city's prime business district, Lower Parel, for Rs 8 crore.
According to a report by Square Yards, the transaction was officially registered in April 2025. The deal incurred a stamp duty of Rs 48 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000. The office space, located in the prestigious One Place Lodha building, spans 1,146.88 square feet and includes two car parking spots.
This latest sale adds to a series of high-value property deals by the actor in recent months, with total real estate transactions reportedly exceeding Rs 100 crore in Mumbai. Notably, Akshay and his wife, author and interior designer Twinkle Khanna, sold a luxury apartment in the upscale Oberoi 360 West project earlier this year for a staggering Rs 80 crore, according to documents accessed by IndexTap.
In addition to the Lower Parel deal, the couple had also sold three apartments worth over Rs 15 crore in the Oberoi Sky City project in Borivali. These transactions signal a strategic reshuffle of their real estate portfolio in the city.
Lower Parel is one of Mumbai’s most sought-after residential and commercial areas, known for its modern infrastructure, luxury real estate, and seamless connectivity to hubs like the Bandra-Kurla Complex and Nariman Point. The area is also home to several celebrities, including Shahid Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Abhishek Bachchan, and author Amish Tripathi.
With over three decades in the film industry and more than 150 films to his name, Akshay Kumar has built a diverse legacy—both onscreen and off. Apart from winning two Filmfare Awards, he has been honored with the Padma Shri and the Asian Awards for his contributions to Indian cinema.
