Green Buildings: Latest Buzz in Bangalore Realty

Bangalore: ‘Go Green’ has become a new construction mantra for Bangalore developers. The Indian state of Karnataka is home to 41 eco-friendly green buildings, making it the fourth state in the country with the maximum green buildings. Out of which 39 such buildings are in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka, reports Times of India.

Eco-friendly homes offer quality lifestyle. People have become aware of the harmful consequences of maintaining unhealthy lifestyle which in turn can hamper their environment and nature. Therefore people are more concerned about the environment they are living in, which has raised the demand for eco-friendly green homes among potential home buyers.  Considering this, developers are also keen on designing eco-friendly projects to increase their sales.

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) is in a buoyant mode as the residential property market is launching projects under green building category. According to industry prediction, the residential segment is expected to increase in number in comparison with commercial buildings by 2030 in the country.

Whereas, Maharashtra houses the highest number of green buildings in India followed by the National Capital Region (NCR) and Tamil Nadu acquires the third position in the nation figure. Approximately 1909 registered green buildings are there in India, of which Karnataka alone houses 187 buildings, as per the figures with IGBC.

Adding to it, eco-friendly houses are designed for energy efficiency. Though in today’s date, high-energy appliances are needed in our day to day life but the eco-friendly homes are designed in such a way that can control high amount of electricity usage. Moreover, green home comes with many advantages. Green homes are lucrative and prove beneficial in the long run. Such building techniques are more versatile and offer durability.
