4) Woodchester Mansion, England

Why mysterious: Rumor has it that, Woodchester Mansion was used as a temporary morgue during the World War II for Allied troops and still the mansion persevere spirits of those troops followed by music of 1940s that echoes in the foyers.

Details: Woodchester Mansion is one among the most mysterious buildings located in Woodchester Park in England. This neo-Gothic mansion style building was made up of iconic honey-coloured Cotswold limestone. This building was abandoned after the owner of the building died in 1873. Interestingly, the structure looks complete from outside but inside there is no floors, no complete rooms and no plasters and the building remained the same since 1870s. Also, the place is known for paranormal nights.  

5) Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse, Denmark

Why mysterious: Although the Lighthouse was constructed on the dune-less cliff of 656 feet from the sea, the building is gradually swallowed by the shifting sand in every-passing day.  It means, the building was abandoned in 1968 when the sea and sand started to swallow the elements.

Details: Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse is an abandoned lighthouse situated on the coast of the North Sea in Northern Denmark. The construction of this lighthouse was started in 1899 and on 27 December 1900, first time the light lit in the lighthouse.  Placed at a height of 200 feet (60 metres) above sea level, the lighthouse was built on the top of Lonstrup Klint (cliff).
