Bangalore: The definition of mysterious takes us to a world where things are unsolved and unexplained. It suddenly reminds of the other related words like creepy, haunted, and eerie to name a few. There are many unexplained things around the world which remain unsolved and one among this mysterious building. Below is the list of such buildings-
1) National Library, India
Why mysterious: This 250 years old gigantic building has earned the reputation of being mysterious. There are many eerie stories can be heard about this building but the building caught much attention soon after the discovery of a hidden chamber that has no doors, no windows and no passages to access that chamber. It is believed that the hidden room is abandoned from the time it was founded and no one had accessed the room for more than two centuries. However, the authorities of this heritage building have managed to obtain permission to drill through the wall so that they can at least see what kept hidden inside. After around six months of survey, it was found that the hidden block was made to support the building foundation and not any kind of torture room or treasure chest, reports Adam H. Graham, of Travel and Leisure.
Details: National Library is one among the most famous mysterious building in Kolkata, India. Apart from the eerie stories, this Library is known for its rare collection of books. This building was made by Mir Jafar in 1760s and he gifted it to Lord Warren Hastings, the first Governor General of India.
