As marketing head of a consulting firm, no two days are the same and the challenges are very unique. Marketing plays a pivotal role in B2B environment and keeping our clients engaged and address them with the current issues through conventional marketing , social media, affiliate marketing and email campaigns.
A lot of time is spent in strategy and its implementation piece. Also the industry of risk management and security is quiet different as we are paid for being paranoid.
The other side of the coin are our internal stake holders and employees that needs to be motivated and ROI of our division being justified to them.
How I continue to Grow
I believe the answers to being a leader and to continue growing in corporate environment etc; all answers to it are there in are mythological books and if one reads them, he/she will grow not only in the material stature but also spiritually.
Handling Grievances
To handle such issues is pretty similar to our nature of work. We hear them and understand their paint points, develop solutions around it with options and make sure the employee is happy.
The culture of any organization should be happy and hearty family environment.

Avoiding mistakes – both in your personal as well as profession
Assessments can be tough on times specially when you keep doing for your clients all the time. Well, "you learn from burning your hand when you are a child but if you burn your hand when you are grown up you are a fool".
Experience does teaches us a lot and by not repeating the same mistake you can connect the dot.

There have been quite a few people that have definitely influenced me as a person but amongst all i believe its the spiritual teachings that have influenced me the most and made me the individual that I am today and being respected for.
My views on India Technical development
Having technical talent and having an end product are two different aspects. This also leads to a discussion about the kind of educational structure and the kind of society where we belonged to 2 decades back.
Times have changed, the new generation are more entrepreneurial in nature and with globalization many investment banking firms/ equity firms have funded smaller companies which have grown substantial in size.

My family background
I do come from a very typical Indian traditional family where the head of the house (Father) was working and mother being a house wife. Was youngest among the three brothers so given more attention during my childhood days.
