Involvement in the Industry
I am currently working with IBM wherein I am handling a role of Cluster Manager and lead the training and transactional quality teams within the industry vertical (Banking, Insurance and healthcare)
The Journey So Far:
Its been almost 10 years now that I am a part of the ever dynamic BPO industry. The great part of my journey has been the fact that I have contributed in almost all functions of this gigantic industry including Ops, quality, training (max experience),service delivery excellence and transitioning
Advice For New Professionals:
Be professional, do not job hop, stay focused, have a vision and work towards it; last but not least learn and build your skills.
Degrees That Matter:
I recommend that incase you want to build a career in training then you should pickup some certifications like ASTD or ISTD or atleast something on the facilitation skills, this would surely give you a strong base. Incase you want to join the Management then PMP,Six Sigma,COPC are good to have Cert.
Career Profile:
My current role involves more of a Training & Transactional Quality standardization and structuring whereas my previous role was more specific and confined to training and development only.
Professional Strengths:
I like to talk and I think that is one attribute that has helped me in this industry. Besides this my IT skills and Sales Skills have always been an extra armor in my kitty.
Plans For The Future:
I have been eying the profile of Business Development for a while as I feel that is one area wherein I can utilize my skills the best besides Training and development and Quality assurance, so I would surely be moving ahead on the same path.
Working Life Management:
Well this is difficult in the world today as the demands from the work have increased many folds, however we all need to understand that family is equally important if not more. Thus, I ensure that even If I have to stretch and complete my work I do that in the office and not bring my work home.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
Being able to give my 110% to my work is something that I am proud of and I am sure my seniors and juniors will acknowledge this fact.
Done Differently:
I guess I would be more aggressive than what I am - As at times people take you very likely otherwise.
