Current Job description
Currently I am heading the Sales & Service activity of our range of products in North & East Zone. I am being supported by Sales Engineers and Service Engineers. Also there are Channel Partners reporting to me.
Important career decisions
I started my carrier as Software Support and was looking after Pre & Post Sales support. I also developed the MIS S/W for our Company. But due to Industry Slump, I left that organization and struggled for around two years to find a good job. Finally I decided to change my profile and I shifted to Sales. Though late but last year I have completed my MBA.
Family background
We belong to Kaystha Family from Bihar. My father retired from MHA as Head Ballistics Div. My Mother was a House Wife. My Eldest Sister retired as Director, Central Forensic Science Laboratory. Next Sister is working as Research Officer, National Institute of Social Defence. Younger Sister is working as Hostel Warden, Translam International Academy, Meerut. My Wfie is well qualified with MA B.ED degree but due to family commitment she remained House Wife. My elder son has just completed his Class XII with 93.8% marks and awaiting call for Engineering admission. My younger son is in Class VI, Delhi Public School Ghaziabad.
Team Management
We workout an Open System and all the team members are free to communicate their views in Constructive manner. Also they are given free hand to complete their task. In case, they need help, it is provided. We ensure that everyone is aware about the development on Projects in hand.
Ensuring Growth
I am constantly giving them opportunity and ensure that the team performs and exceed our target. I am also reading different articles and try to implement the learning in bits and pieces. I keep on giving them some tips or others.
Handling Grievances
I try to listen to them carefully and analyze the same. Discuss with the concerned member and then take up the matter with the concerned department within the Organization and resolve the same to their satisfaction.

Also If the grievances are related to Customer, it is tackled diplomatically to defuse the issue without hurting anybody ego.

For ant Technical Manufacturing or Solution Provider Company, the role of Technical Manager is of extreme importance. They help in organizing Technical Seminars and make Customer educated so that we can get good value order from those Customers.
Influenced by
I always try to get best out of any one and in Sales, you will be surprised to note that I am most influenced by the Beggars at Red Light and Street Hawkers. If you observe them, they target their Clients very carefully and their conversion rate is very high. Also their persuasion power is very good.
Awards and Recognitions
In my current Organization I am regularly been awarded as Best Sales Team Manager and Bringing maximum no. of First Time Customers.
Leadership qualities
The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority.
My views on India Technical development
We are not nurturing the right talent to stay and perform in our Country. The same breed of people go out of India and do wonders. We need to change our system.
My advice
One must practice 3R's: Respect for Self. Respect for Others. Responsibility of all their actions.
