Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I belong to the (Vysya) business community from AP. Both my parents are no more in this world. I have a elder brother who lives in Warangal, AP and a younger brother at NJ, USA. Married to Shailaja and blessed with two sons (Ruthvik and Yagnik). Me and my wife are in teaching but a different levels.

Changes in the industry
The changes experienced at various levels of SDLC. It is going to be shorter development cycles, more knowledgeable QA resources, improved processes, more testing by end user and developer, etc. The role and relevance of automation in the complete process is the biggest change in this field.
The Journey So Far
Started initially with Marketing and later on moved to teaching in AP and then moved to VIT University (VEC in 1994) ever since beginning of their MBA Program. Associated in all the major efforts of VIT in becoming # 1, Private Technical Institution and placement activities for Business School.
Plans for the Future
Had a great experience of having educated at I I M-A and working with VIT for the last 18 years and fellowships from Rotary, USA and DAAD, Germany. UNDP assignment at Ethiopia and visiting many countries had given the opportunity to undertake the challenging positions in the years to come.
Currently working at
As a Professor in Business School, I am expected to design the courses for Graduate and Doctoral level programs. Guiding research scholars for their Ph. D. Publishing the research work in Int Journals and on the board for many of the journals from reputed publishers. I have a major project from MSME
Most Important Decisions
The shift from industry to teaching though was accidental, was the most difficult phase of my career progression. The training undertaken at IIM-A has provided the right skills and confidence to face the ever changing Higher Education scenario both in India and abroad.
Essential Advice
It's a fascinating career for the young professional graduates as well as for experienced professionals who are looking for changing their line of operations in the IT industry. There are lot of opportunities for professional training in this field in India today.
Most Important Lessons
There is no end for learning as the world around is changing faster, if you don't update your self, it is going to be the last days of your professional career. Be bold to face the challenges that come in your way and associate with the professional community in resolving the issues of concern.
Areas for the Future
The emerging fields include cloud computing, production field,etc. Q A is an emerging career because of the constant changes in technology and the need to streamline processes and improve overall functioning of many of the firms functioning across the globe seamlessly.
Tech trends to watch out for
The trends in Quality Assurance and Testing include Software Oriented Architecture, Software as a Service, Test Driven Development, Web based applications, etc.
Degrees that Matter
Certified Associate in Software Quality, Certified Software Quality Analyst and Certified Manager of Software Quality are the leading certifications in the global software industry. CAST is a foundation level, CSTE at practitioner level and CMST at Managerial level certifications are needed.
A Fine Balance:
Prioritize the time for both the personal life and professional career. There is a thin line between these two. The world around is robust and one needs to be a real professional in managing the time. So, relax with music during the morning walk and carry your smart phone to be in touch with work.
Points of inflection
Getting in to the portals of I I M-A in 1998, teaching as a Professor in University of Cologne, Germany during last Oct till March 31, 2012. Offering a guest lecture in in Sheffield, UK in 1999 are some of the most memorable points. Presenting the Ph. D work at Academy conference in USA.
Role Model
There are not just one, but as you need one role model, I wish to name (GV) Dr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT University. He has proven to the world that an individual can be successful in various spheres of life starting from politics to the philanthropy and yet how to be a humble man.
