I am an English professor with experience of teaching in 3 states in India. I have also been a free lance writer. My reviews and features have been published in weeklies and newspapers.

Advice For New Professionals:

they should be very professional i.e. take their work seriously. First thing , they should get the kind of job they at least half enjoy doing.

Never been a part of the corporate world. I had the opportunity to impart soft skills training to MBA students sometime ago. Then I had to read up about corporates and businesses...

Prized Accomplishment(s):

I can write interestingly . I can be a columnist. In fact, I did a weekly column in an English daily this year.

Changes In The Professional Environment:

The advent of computers and the internet has brought about magical changes. Fascinating possibilities have opened up.

Degrees That Matter:

My career requires a post graduate degree in English plus passing the NET & SET for a job in an aided college. I would advice having a Ph.D., too.
