Views about 'Tech product Introduction is weak among Indians'
Well there are many reasons to that, but a few main obstacles can be filed down to lack of pragmatic education system at both the school and professional level, Brain drain or the human capital flight, lack of established and lucrative B2B local markets (our market is primarily B2C) and that fear towards failure mentality .
If right authorities take the charge and start working on above mentioned problems (atleat which are controllable like education system etc), I think the changes will be quite evident.
Challenges faced in job
Being a part of service industry like any other professional managing the ever booming and multiplying customer satisfaction levels and ensuring the delivery of and defect free and timely service is at times demanding and can take a toll out of you. But at the same time working in such a dynamic ecosystem makes you strive for higher and higher perfection levels and puts your ability and character to test every now thus enabling your overall skillset and personality grow in a better and bigger manner.
Being different
Engineers have a functional perspective about almost everything which gives an edge. The techno-commercial combination is lethal and is again an icing on the cake .let me sum it up by quoting a very beautiful saying “When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.”
My advice
The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.
Family Background
My father is a doctor specialized in radiology and mother has done doctorate in political science. I have no other siblings.
Making job easier
Unconditional support, cooperation and backing from my peers in office makes the job easier and the spirited team effort that we put in as a team gets reflected in the results.
My strongest Skill
People Management, Stake Holder management, Data mining, Process Re-Engineering and knowledge of statistical tools & techniques used in business improvement and strategic decision making.
My role model
cricketing legend Sachin tendulkar is my role model and the reasons are his unmatched consistency, dedication and passion for his game and work.
Company and job profile
My name is sakar and I am a computer science engineer presently employed with Infosys Technologies LTD.Infosys LTD is an Indian multinational provider of business consulting, technology, engineering, and outsourcing services. It is headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka.Infosys is the third-largest India-based IT services company by 2012 revenues.I am into the Remote Infrastructure Management(RIM)piece having background in business improvement and process re-engineering.
Managing professional as well as personal life
Infosys is an organization that endorses and beliefs strongly in healthy work life balance and the same has transformed employee compassion into organizational culture and, ultimately, into corporate policy.
So, I consider myself lucky to be associated with such a brand which ensures all the employees maintain a healthy work life balance and are always live and kicking
Goals and Ambitions
I am the one who takes life as it comes. This does not mean that I don’t belief in planning but i like to set small targets and go one at a time.
I may sound a bit astounding and bizarre by saying that I am person who beliefs in miracles to happen in life and am waiting for one to happen for myself. I know this statement sounds a bit irrational and distant from logic, but then there is no point in being a hypocrite and not being expressive about your belief system
My achievement
since the question targets an achievement that has been conquered in past; so with not many options left; I put clearing ASQ six sigma blact belt certification as one landmark.
But, otherwise I belief that the best achievment is yet to come and with all hard work and correct execution i pray to almighty that it comes soon.
Current Trends
DFSS, DMADV, QFD, TRIZ, DOE, LEAN six sigma are few of the methodologies and principles that have already started and will continue to change the way product development and service delivery takes place in almost all the sectors spanning from IT/ITSM to healthcare to manufacturing to FMCG to FA and many others.
