The Journey So Far:
My journey has been in the world of Human Resources Management for over 30 years with significant touch points with multiple business domains such as Manufacturing, Hospitality,Logistics,IT,Infrastructure,Education.
My hands on experience with various organisation as both Business partner and also as Corporate people strategic lead,has enabled me to understand and appreciate the human dynamics in an organisational setting and the challenges this critical aspect has in the Business and operation.
In the course of my journey,I have developed a strong passion and professional interest in HRD as a strong connect to OD both working in tandem to make mutual business sense both to the top line and bottom line.
The cumulative experience has taught me how management can effectively leverage the richness in the talents across the organisation through creating a highly engaged work force and reap the multiplier effect of RoI

This learning journey with miles to go,keeps me energized-awake-aliv
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Yes, the paradigm shift in the term of reference from being a labor officer to a Personnel officer, transitioning to Human Resources Manager, HRD, Head - People Capability and Chief People Officer are indicators of how the expectations of the eco-system has changed over the generation from HR.

The transformation from Functional expertise to Business partnership has created a deep down entrenched connect that both need to operate at tandem in the greater interest of business and organisation.

Today the by line for organisation is " Prosperity through people "
The Decisions That Matter
One thing that always got me restless was working like a frog in the well .

This native instinct to take the risk and experience the multi-faceted challenges existing in various business domain created an impetus in me to move across business domain to understand the strong connect when organisation look at prosperity through people

Yes , my most significant career decisions i had made was in breaking out of status quo and taking the risk to move on and venture into the unknown
Working Life Management:
I do lot of writing short stories,composing poems, listening to music and spending quality time with family of just being there with them.

These help me immensely to charge by battery periodically and keep me engaged both at work place and at home.
Professional Strengths:
I have gained critical understanding and appreciation of how we can leverage talent to optimum output through various OD interventions and in pursuit of this philosophy, i have equipped myself with certain related skills and knowledge to sharpen my interventions to make it deep and significant and more than these sustainable for both the parties - Self and organisation

To sum up my strength is OD and Training

In terms of attributes, have learnt to be empathetic to both individual and the eco system where one operates
Prized Accomplishment(s):
1- Talent Acquisition – especially Leadership /key positions. Has been able to get on board global leadership talents CEOs/CXOs in quick turnaround time.
2- Performance Management System ( KRAs and BSC based ) Integrating the PMS for multi - Business and making the process paperless. Introduction of the concept of statistical moderation to make the rating and ranking equitable.
3- SAP enabled HRMS. Introduced in record time the SAP enabled HRMS in all the related sub modules especially the e- recruitment module
4- Compensation and Benefits.Introduced the Variable Performance Pay to leverage the Personnel cost to business performance
5- Values and Belief – evangelizing and entrenchment. Conducted over 100 Value clarification workshops including to the cricketers - Delhi Dare Devils and for this traveled with the team in SA while conducting the series of workshops for the team. Publishing Value case-lets

Degrees That Matter:
Well , at some stage in my career, i decided that my areas of specialization would be OD and in this pursuit I have obtained my Master Practitioner certification in NLP, and currently pursuing OD analyst and diagnosis course.

Besides i have also been trained on Technology of Participation a very contemporary process and tool for organisational interventions; besides the short courses on EQ and AI( Appreciative Inquiry )
Plans For The Future:
I see myself as someone who will be transferring my learning to the next generation through interface with various institutions as a advisory member in the curriculum , faculty and a facilitator between industry and institution.

I will be striving to make Education truly in touch with Corporate realities so that the mutual expectations between campus and corporate is not only met but also exceeded
Done Differently:
Continually focus all my energy and attention, planning out every piece of people intervention to make it not only efficient and effective but to work at tandem in making business prosperous and profitable
Family Background
We are a family of four ; my wife teaching the children in the age group of 5 to 7 in an International IB school , my daughter is pursuing her PhD in Nero-science and human behavior while my son is pursuing his interest in Hospitality through a graduate program in International Tourism and Hospitality form SSTH - Switzerland
Other Thoughts:
I firmly believe that experienced and senior Corporate citizens owe a lot to transfer their Skill, knowledge and expertise to the next generation.

After all ,our forefathers did not leave it to 'google' to communicate the essence of Epics. Not withstanding the far reaching impact of self help technology , the human endeavor to hand over the baton of " Experience and Expertise " cannot be over emphasized
