My family background
My father is Mechanical Engg, was professor in Mech Engg Dept in govt. engg college. My mother is a house wise. we are four brothers-sisters and we all are technically educated.
My husband is also technically sound and working as e-Governance implementation consultant in software industry.

I am B Tech Electrical and MS (Software Systems), like to be part of technical innovation, socially active, love reading books and listening to music. I have around 17 years of experience in the software industry including software development, implementing various process models like ISO 9001, CMM, CMMi, PSP and Six Sigma. I want to use metrics to monitor the performance and effectiveness of processes.

The most influential person in my life is my husband who has taught me to take difficulties as challenges and work towards them. He has always supported me in my aspiration to be a front-runner in my domain and being socially active so that i could serve the society and help the needy.
Being a women i had to face many problems but he taught me how to cope with those problems and work towards my goal.
Important lesson learned
Hard work always pays in life, develop professional behavior and motivate people around you.
Degree that I recommend
Certifications orient the thought process and builds confidence in the person. So, i would recommend that one should always have a certificate in the domain he/she is working. Having said that, the value of certificate is lost when the technology changes and so one should always upgrade with the latest innovation in the field.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Education system needs to be tuned to the requirements of various industry so that we teach what is required. The application of the principles is the need of the hour and so theoretical knowledge is required to excel in today's world.
We need mentoring on building positive attitude, innovation and creativity.

My goal in life is to learn new things while maintaining the core software engineering principles as my base.
My goal in life is to learn new things while maintaining the core software engineering as my base. It is very important to define your goals and monitor them, it gives you job satisfaction and new challenges in life. While playing different roles in my experience of 16 years, I have felt that it is important to be self- disciplined, hard-working and keeping pace with growing business requirements.
My role model
I have always been influence by my mentor Dr. Mukul Sinha who has inspired me to be disciplined, professional, creative, innovative, accept challenges in life, being socially active, responsible and finally follow your own principles in life.
Couple of years from now
The journey so far as have been very interesting and satisfying and so do not have very high ambitions but want to work more on making defect management more predictable.
