My uniqueness
I am a fast learner and I know what to do when and how to get the best outcome
Most influenced factor
I think it was me and my passion to do something in life ignited the fire in me to work towards my career objective. Parents, friends and my seniors too played an important role in providing right information at right time. I must say ‘information is power’.
Most flourishing college experience
As a school going kid I always had a dream to go to college where you don’t have to follow the mandatory dress code, morning prayers etc. The first day to college was indeed great and so was my upcoming three years in the college. The most remarkable incident was to be one among the top three in the university results. This was something unexpected. I was on high air but I realized that I deserve this because I earned it with my hard work and perseverance.
Time Management
Issues that bother me the most gets the top priority. I plan things based on my interest and try to keep my academic and non-academic activity balanced.
Spare time activities
As I am in academics, if I m free I love to do collage work, painting and write small stories based on recent visit to place or meeting people.
Family Background
I hail from a middle class family background in a big family setup. It is a closed knitted family system. Everyone in the family is responsible and responsive for his/her academic and not academic endeavors. My parents are my pathfinders who are always besides me in case of need and guidance. I look forward to them for every suggestion/ guidance. They don’t force anything but leave it to us to decide and march on.
Additional information
Whatever we are doing be it academics, sports or hobbies we should possess three qualities or 3 D’s: Dedication, Direction and Devotion.
Challenges facing by students
Time management and procrastination are the biggest challenge. As a student we are aware about the task but generally we procrastinate to the eleventh hour. One more issue that comes in mind is the flood of information in the age of Internet, students should be tactful to judge the authenticity of information for their disposal
Most proud accomplishment
Getting selected for Indian Institute of Technology for my Masters degree is one of my most cherished moment. As a undergraduate student i always has a dream to study their for my higher studies. This reminds me of a famous quote made by the former Indian President, Dr. A. P Abdul Kalam "You have to dream before your dreams can come true".
About Myself
I am more of a learner who is inquisitive and open to knowledge.
At present I am working as a research scholar on issue of information communication technology for development popularly known as ICT4D. I am also interested in areas concerning technology and its impact on genders and policy studies. I carry a very optimist approach toward life and to issues that surrounds me
First Job Expectation
Top three things that matters for me in a job is my "interest" that for sure will be the top priority, followed by the "work-culture" and remuneration.
Career Expectations
I am working on information communication and technology and I feel this area will soon emerge as a separate discipline. The demand for the communication technology for socioeconomic development will increase manifold in the coming years.
Favorite subject
I am good with development studies and the role of technology that impacts development. A symbiotic relationship exists between development and technology. The discipline also provides opportunity to do something for the society. In short, you stay connected with the society.
View s for better India
I think students need to be aware about the day to day happenings in an around their family, society, nation and the world. They should be expressive to make opinions. Students should be provided opportunities to speak on issues that matter them.
Favorite Books and Articles
The last non-academic book was on “Kasab: The Face Of 26/11” by
Rommel Rodrigues. This book present the case of events and situation that forces people to take up arms. The book provides an impression that it’s wrong to put a community into a same basket. To label and generalize all Muslims as terrorist is indeed a heinous crime on humanity. We should NOT generalize and be judgmental.
