Ensuring success
I am constantly taking new self development & improvement courses. I am reading a lot of books about yoga & Tibet so I have authentic knowledge about my subject. I am currently learning hypnosis with the intention of developing a course in weight loss through yoga, creative visualization, affirmation and working with the power of the sub concious mind. Of course there will also be guidance on diet. Also I hope to cure people of bad habits and negative thought patterns.
Important decision
1. Chose the carrier of flying after doing PHD
2 To marry my husband though he is 15 years older than I
3. To move to India.
4. Start my own school
5. To teach yoga & meditation
6. To be self employed although I got many offers to work for big companies.
Important lesson learned
I have learnt that nothing is impossible if you make up your mind to do it and if you put in 100% effort and trust in the higher powers. I came from Kenya with no knowledge of yoga but I made an effort to learn.I mastered Tibetan yoga and meditation. I was initially worried about how I would survive in this city of Mumbai where there are 100s of good trainers and how I would make a an entry into the corporate market. but when I started offering what I wanted to give to others with a genuine interest in their well being & an intention to help others be healthy and stress free, people appreciated that intention .So what I have experienced is that one has to have the pure intention of helping others and when people benefit, naturally they want more of that and so I progressed in my work through word of mouth and people's personal experiences.
Degree that I recommend
Courses in yoga - like I had learnt at the ashram and also I had taken a course in yoga in the Bihar school of yoga.
Public speaking and self confidence will also help
My strongest skill
I am a good speaker and my communication skills are very good.
I teach with the intention of wanting to genuinely help others and so I am able to touch their hearts.
I have good knowledge and conviction about the yoga I teach as I know it helps people be healthy and stress free.

Thoughts on Education system of our country
I feel the subjects and material that the students have to learn is too vast and too much. Most of it is also never used in their life after school.
Influenced by
My father was a role model, an idealist who gave me courage, encouragement and freedom to chose my faith, my vocation and my life partner.
He had total faith in me and my decisions.
Qualities needed to become a successful leader
The leader has to be a good follower. He / she has to be a good role model for others to copy & duplicate.He/ she has to have a genuine interest in the progress of his subordinates.
More about myself
I just want to bring the gift of good health to the world. I want to travel all over teaching Tibetan yoga, specially to the women as they are very stressed with too much happening in their lives both at work and home and in their relationships. I wish that all women could be mentally and physically strong so that they do not suffer the detrimental effects of stress and thus make their own life and the lives of her family happy.
My role model
There was a trainer & swami at the ashram, whom I admired and who was very motivating.
My Guru constantly inspires and guides me.
Couple of years from now
I want to set up Tibetan yoga centers in all major cities in India so that this yoga is available more easily to 1000s of people. i have set up yoga centers in Sweden and Kenya and wish to do this in more countries.
I am training more people to teach Tibetan yoga
My family background
As mentioned earlier I am from Kenya. My mom was from Uganda & was Parsi. My father was from a Muslim back ground but studied and practiced Hinduism, Budhism, Christianity and was a great follower of Gandhiji and came to India to meet him. i have 3 brothers - one is in London and 2 are in Lisbon since last 20 years and have their own business.
