Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I live with my wife, daughter, mom, dad, brother and unmarried aunt. My father is retired from the service industry and my mother is a housewife. My wife and brother are both professionals and work in the service industry. My daughter is 1 year old.
Plans For The Future:
In the position of Senior Manager.
Growth Strategy:
I am learning new technologies and tools, getting exposure in different lines of businesses, taking training in areas which I believe are not my strong points and taking every opportunity to improve my people management skills.
The Journey So Far:
I started working with Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) in 2005 as an E-learning Specialist, and rose through the ranks to the position of Team Lead and finally Manager. I left TIS in 2011 and joined Sify E-Learning as a Senior Learning Designer, where I work currently.
Job Profile:
In the capacity of Senior Learning Designer, I take overall responsibility of Instructional Design aspects of a project. I also coordinate between the Project Manager and cross-functional teams in the organization.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
It has become more competitive, with new organizations joining the fray, i.e. the business of E-learning. Newer avenues have opened, for exploring opportunities and the field of ID/E-learning is enjoying a booming growth.
Role Model:
There has been nobody in the professional world, at least till now. Personally, thinker, philosophers, litterateurs and statesmen like Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Bose inspire me, for obvious reasons.
Other Thoughts:
Nothing specific.
Degrees That Matter:
1. The IDSP (Instructional Design for Senior Professionals) Online certification, given by Vibrant Wavelength
2. Degree/Diploma courses on Instructional Design, from universities and institutes, like Symbiosis
Done Differently:
Be more proactive in ensuring that I am working for a higher goal.
The Decisions That Matter
1. Starting my professional career with one of the top E-learning companies in the world.
2. Using the experience and skills gathered to shift to a different organization when the time was right.
Working Life Management:
I do not carry my work back home. That domain is exclusively reserved for my family members.

I do not carry my home life to office.
Career Profile:
My responsibilities in my current role are similar to that of my previous role.
