Upcoming Trends
My field is project management in the field of Lime and Cement. With the increase in investment in infrastructure sector in India and abroad, the demand of Steel and Cement is increasing in rapid pace. This growth is primarily attributed to the government's high level of infrastructure spending, and the country's increasing number of residential and commercial construction activities.
My view on India technological development
It is true that with so much technical talent in India, even then we do not have a single tech product made in India which is dominating the world markets. For example we are having great demand of lime kilns in India in recent times but all technologies are coming from Italy or Switzerland. To combat this crisis and to make serious effort in this line, in February, 2012 we have formed Indian Lime Association in line with other lime association exists in other parts of world like, USA, China, Europe etc. Being Joint Secretary of Indian Lime Association (INDLA), my objective to develop indigenous technology related to lime kilns so that we get an Indian Lime Kiln Technology and we can supply this technology worldwide.
My goals
Cement is essential component of infrastructure development world over. It is also the second largest consumable item on the planet after water. (0.3 ton per person). India is ranked as the second-largest producer of cement in the world, only behind China. The Indian cement industry is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10.64% over the period of 2012-2016. The Indian government revealed plans to invest US $ 1 trillion on infrastructure during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan (2012-2017).
I like to take the advantage of the situation , and wants to set up a 3 million ton Cement unit for Rashtriya Ispat Nigan Limited, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant as in-charge of the project in next 3 years time which is assigned to my by my company in recent time.

I am only son of my parent. My father is retired employee of Life Insurance Corporation of India from Kolkata whose only dream was to see me as a successful engineer. My mother was a housewife who nurtured me in the cultural field and I was trained in classical music for 13 years. I joined Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited in 1987 and subsequently got married to Mahua Datta who is also a successful home maker and my inspiration in all the activities. We have only one son named Akash who is in 6th Standard in Delhi Public School in Steel Township, Visakhapatnam.
Advice to professionals
I like to advice people of this generation who will start job in the core sector like steel plant that they have to be hard working, honest and loyal to the organization. Our society is gradually turning to become selfish society where people confined to them and to their family. But to do progress of the country we have to work hard and cultivate sense of belongingness to the organization and in turn to the nation.
Advice to students
I will primarily advice them to gather practical knowledge about the subject and go for higher study to enrich the knowledge further. In our time we did not know about the opportunities across the globe and our knowledge was limited. But now a day’s new generation students are in tremendous advantage due to high tech world about knowledge. Also my sincere advice to young an aspiring students to stop the brain drain and whatever you learn from our country, try to contribute to our nation only which will make total Indian nation proud and happy
