Indian American Millionaire Charged with Domestic Violence

Bangalore: Internet mogul, Gurbaksh Chahal has been charged with 45 felonies, that includes 41 counts of assault and domestic violence, as reported by Ritu Jha of Rediff.

Allegedly beating up his girlfriend, has led the 31-year-old Chahal to be accused of false imprisonment and assault. Gurbaksh Chahal, the Chairman and CEO of an online advertising company, RadiumOne, pleaded not guilty to charges in relation with domestic violence.

 Chahal’s bail was initially $150,000, but has now been increased to $1 million.

The “die hard entrepreneur” made his first millions during his teenage, later on selling his first company for more than $40 million and the second for $300 million to Yahoo.

Following the incident, Chahal’s passport has been seized along with many other restrictions.

It is reported that she was kicked about 117 times within a period of half an hour.  This video of physical violence showed that he had allegedly tried to stop her from breathing for nearly 20 seconds.
