Bangalore: Foreign immigrant physicians are finding it difficult to become a licensed doctor in United States, even though they are well qualified. The physicians are forced to go through a series of procedures making it difficult for their lives, although they are capable of saving others’ lives , reports Catherine Rampbell, New York Times.

This has resulted in oppositions from many foreign physicians and the advocates who are voicing against the process; they feel the process is needless and time consuming. These restrictions are also a reason for the high cost of medical services in the United States than anywhere else in the world.

The American Medical industry groups states, the country offers high standard of medical facilities, which is not available elsewhere in the world. It is also said that some development experts are unwilling to make things easy for foreign doctors to practice in United States.
