President Obama’s health care law focuses on bringing home grown primary care doctors, but there is going to be a huge shortage. This is going to affect the country as it will take a long time to train new doctors. United States has very few trained doctors to meet its need. This is because of the rules set by the government on the limitation of slots in medical schools. It is said that one in every four Physicians practicing in the United States, studied in places like the Caribbean as they were unable to get into a medical school at home.

The new health care law is said to increase the country’s need for doctors, especially in specialties like primary care. Many foreign physicians are likely to practice in this area. According to studies, a predicted shortage of physicians would be on rise, when the American health care law insures millions more during 2014
