Yahoo Launches Yahoo Screen, A New Video App For Unique Digital Experience
Bangalore: Yahoo has launched its first ever video application, Yahoo Screen, which will allow users to browse through different kinds of video programs on their Smartphones, as reported by Before It’s News. The app is intended to serve mainly iPhone and iPad users, but the firm also has plans to develop a compatible version for android phones and tablets.
The California-based company strives to offer a new digital experience on touchscreen phones which will be equivalent to surfing channels on television.
The new video application is Yahoo’s initiative for expanding its services and mobile applications to a next level. It was developed by engineer Robby Stein whose startup company in New York called ‘Stamped’, was earlier acquired by Yahoo in October 2012. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and Stein have worked together at Google in the past, according to sources.
