International Business Machines, a worldwide leader in technology field was formerly known as CTR (Computing Tabulating Recording) - A company formed by the merger of three companies- Tabulating Machine Company, the International Time Recording Company and the Computing Scale Corporation It adopted the name in 1924, and eventually shortened the logo to just IBM in 1946. The company’s distinctive culture and product branding has given it the nickname “Big Blue.”
