Google Glass Mirror API Is Now Open For The Developers

"Today we're releasing the API documentation and a bunch of example code, so even though the API is in a limited developer preview, you can start dreaming with us," Google Developer Programs Engineer Jenny Murphy wrote in a Google+ post on Monday.

Google has posted a developer guide, reference documentation and UI guidelines for each function on its Developers site, along with a short video explaining each, featuring Timothy Jordan, to help developers get started with Google Glass apps.

Google, earlier on Monday, had send mails to the Glass Explorers— the developers who signed up to be part of Glass during last year’s Google I/O — saying that the first Glass units are leaving the production line, and are almost ready to shipped to its developers. Google also mentioned that it will ship Explorer edition of Glass to developers in waves, notifying them individually via email.
