Android Boss Sundar Pichai Reveals The Future Of World's Most Popular OS

When asked whether he is surprised to see a Firefox OS, he said that he’s not, “The web is an important platform, and I don’t think it’s going to change ’til I die. It’s another reason why if we don’t do Chrome OS, someone else will.”

Pichai also came up with the answer for the complaints about Android’s update process. “We are thinking about how to make Android handle updates better. We see ways we can do this. It’s early days. We’re talking with our partners and working our way through it. We need time to figure out the mechanics, but it’s definitely an area of focus for me and for the team,” he added.

Pichai said that this years Google I/O is going to be different and there will not be much about product launches but Google on all of the kinds of things the company is doing for developers, so that they can write better things. “We will show how Google services are doing amazing things on top of these two platforms,” he added.

And Pichai told that Larry Page wants to make sure that Android to be a platform for driving innovation and doing amazing things for users and developers, and he wanted the same things for Android too. And finally when Pichai was asked about how he’s managing the Chrome, the next big thing and world’s largest mobile platform Android, he said, “I have a secret project which adds four hours every day to the 24 hours we have. There’s a bit of time travel involved.”
