Android Boss Sundar Pichai Reveals The Future Of World's Most Popular OS
When finally he encountered the question which is quite a hot topic in media that Google’s having a problem with Samsung being dominant, and makes almost all the money on the platform, he said that Samsung is a great partner to work with and Google works with them on pretty much almost all important products. He also set the things straight by showing off his Samsung Galaxy S4. And he also clarified that Google considers Motorola as just another partner even though it owns the company, and that it will not show favoritism to Motorola over other partners.
Though Android is the most used mobile platform in the world, the revenue it generates is still less than what Apple does with its iOS. But Pichai says that Google is very confident with its business model and services, like Google Play, are obviously a source of revenue. “We saw payouts to developers on Play quadruple in 2012. I think we are barely beginning to get started. We’re in the early beginnings of a sea change in computing,” he added.
