Intel Confirms Dual OS Processors That Run Both Windows And Android

Bangalore: As it was said to be rumored, the good news is that Intel Dual OS is real. Intel Corporation has confirmed this news in the on going CES 2014 event that their new computers have been designed to work on both Windows and Android platforms, reports The Verge.

Brain Krzanich CEO of Intel Corporation said that, Intel is the only microprocessor company that has structured a device which has the ability to run Windows and Android operating systems on a single device.

These processors were earlier been demonstrated by Intel on a laptop during its company’s press conference and also said that the device has been added with a function where in it can switch over between Windows and Android operating systems with just a press of a button.

Intel was not the only company to come out with dual OS system at CES, there were few others like AMD in partnership with Bluestacks who launched full screen windowed Android apps within windows itself, and this new AMD chip has been functioned to run Android code natively.

Intel’s other rival Asus had earlier come out with Transformer AiO P1801, a device which had similar dual-boot functions but the drawback was it could either work as a Windows 8 PC or as Android Tablet.

However, with Intel’s new dual OS PC’s it is more  likely that the personal computers are all together being taken into a different level which will open up the PC market making it more competitive like never before.
