Google Removes The Mobile Game 'Bomb Gaza' From App Store

BANGALORE: Bomb Gaza, a mobile game developed by Play FTW was taken down by Google in its play store as it raised violent comments on the store and Facebook. The game apparently was a simulation of the Israeli attacks on the Gaza strip, reports Reuters.

Google did not mention the exact reason for removing the game on the app store, but Google has policies that state the blocking of content that trigger abusive, and violent comments from the users and gives option to report about the content too.

The game ‘Bomb Gaza’ replicates the continuing Clash between the Israel and the Islamist gang Hamas, where the players get to drop bombs from a fighter jet while defending themselves from the opponent Hamas Fighters.

These are comments generated on the game:

"You disgust me," Saj Ishaq wrote on Play FTW's public Facebook page.

"Please take this off the Play store. It is offensive and I am really let down that Google actually allowed this. If this game isn’t removed I’m starting a Google boycott," Oma Al, a user, wrote on the game's review page, according to the Guardian.
