Apple To Merge iOS and OS X?

Bangalore: It is said that the employees at Apple are the most ‘happy-ones’ around the tech world. But the recent controversies has proved it to be a hoax as the failure of some of Apple’s well documented products has led to a major shakeup that the tech world has ever seen. This clearly indicates that the company has got some bigger plans in their mind. Maybe, it may involve the fusion of Apple's desktop and mobile operating systems. Although both of them works under the same core, for years, Apple has been planning for a single operating system across all platforms.

The controversy  started as Apple’s then iOS Chief, Scott Forstall was fired after refusing to sign an open letter apologizing for the ill-received iOS Maps app. Adding to it is John Browett, the SVP of Retail Operations who too will depart the company.

Apple has already stated that they are looking for changes and "will encourage even more collaboration between the company's world-class hardware, software and services teams".  At present, Craig Federighi who was previously in charge of OS X is handling iOS. On the other hand, Apple’s prime designer Jony Ive, is in charge of ‘Human interface’ department.
