Apple Is All Set To Introduce The 8GB Iphone 5c In India


BANGALORE: It is been a week since Apple withdrawn its iPhone 4 from the Indian market and just after that the news hit the headlines saying Apple is planning on launching the cheaper version of the iPhone 5C sometime in June, which will be priced lesser than 35000.

Apple released the iPhone 5C in 2013 with 16GB and 32GB storage options and the features include a 4-inch touch screen with a display resolution of 1136x 640 Retina display. The processor is an Apple A6 dual core and has a 1GB of RAM. The cameras on the phone include an 8MP on the rear and 1.2 MP on the front. The battery on the phone is 1510 mAh delivering a talk time of 10 hours and phone weighs around 137 grams.

Presently, the iPhone 5C has a price difference of around 11000 between the 16GB and the 32GB models in India; with the 8GB model, Apple intends to target the mid-segment phone market. According to the NDTV gadgets, Apple CEO Tim Cook has highlighted growth in the Indian market, which as per the industry insiders was because of the various cash back and exchange offers that Apple had set up. However, the previous generation models offered in low prices have sold quite a number in India and Apple assumes the same on the 5C too with its lesser price tag.
