#4 Land mines

Man always is in hunt for novel things; may have rejoiced with find of land mines. “Just plant and watch your enemies blowing into ash and dust upon placing even tender foot on land mines” could be the inventers say or the one who planted the land mines.

During war times each contingent get frenzy and fold their sleeves to do anything to get its enemies killed, like burying huge number of landmines, as if sawn seeds for future.

The war ends, contingents leave the place, and the landmines which have failed to take enemies down are now patiently hidden to take common man or grazing animals down.        

Its time to wake up, say no to such war devices and non senses.

#3 Prisons

There where prisons in the time of pharaohs and are yet prevalent in today’s times. Not that the offenders of the law should be punished leniently, but the way adopted is still ancient, like restricting the offenders behind steel bars.

Novel electronic-parole monitors and ubiquitous computing can offer plenty of new ways to tackle offenders, though this may give feeling of “less-harsh”, will be just as cruel and unusual as punishments behind bars.
