Bangalore: The fumes of a biggest patent war between Apple and Samsung is yet to settle down. It seems silly, that these tech giants simply fought over a device design that determines the look of the phone.

But once you get inside the skin of a device, things will start getting complicated. There will be a patent for each and everything, even for positioning of a switch. Many of these patents seem lame, but there are some innovative ones, like Smartphones that can literally fly, phone alerts that vibrate your skin and crash protected Smartphones.

Microsoft may not have a proper mobile device as of now. But it has some very cool ideas for the future. Among those, the coolest one would be a patent for a dual-display device about the size of a playing card that can convert into two separate devices when needed. Imagine breaking your dual display phone into two and use one screen to talk to a person, while viewing a document on the other. Microsoft loves this idea, and it had actually produced a video of this concept back in 2009.
