Most Hated Technology: Napster
Ulrich gave his all to bring down the online music sharing service Napster. He even sold out his own fans after delivering a list of 60,000 Napster users sharing Metallica music to court during the group's 2000 lawsuit. He said, "Napster hijacked our music without asking. They never sought our permission. Our catalog of music simply became available as free downloads on the Napster system”. It initiated a chain reaction of lawsuits and Napster became extinct.
