Heart ailments pose a greater threat in modern times, and are nearly fatal or could be too expensive. Recently a device called total artificial heart (TAH) is developed which replaces the two lower chambers of the heart. You might benefit from a TAH if both of your ventricles don't work due to end-stage heart failure.

For a moment, such artificial organs only keeps life sustained till the organ is found, but future can have a different tale.

It seems like Hollywood sci-fi movie Vanilla Sky, where you will be able to be your own “ghost in the machine”. Basically, a computer with all of your information on it, as well as artificial intelligence, would allow you to “live” in the computer for a thousand years or more.  The claim is made by scientist Ian Pearson, and he is developing computer models as we speak.
