Harry Pyle: (1949-2013)
Pyle who developed interest in electronics early in his life with, building Ham Radio rigs at his parents’ basement he extended this Morse code to such extent that the American Radio Relay League awarded him a life time membership this interest actually continued throughout his life.
This interest lead him into the computer science where his mentor Vic Poor helped him in joining Datapoint to work on early computer development which resulted in them inventing several new desktop computers like (2200,5500,6600), this operating systems contributed heavily to develop industry’s first commercial microprocessors the Intel 8008.
He was the man behind implementation of the first commercial local are network known as ARCnet and also went on to lead the development of the RMS network based Operating System, he came out with new tools such as artful source code editor EASL, and was seen leading the first of its kind microprocessor based mini-main frames.
