Zomato introduces Zomato For Enterprise (ZFE) for corporates to manage food expanses

The launch of Zomato For Enterprise (ZFE) by billionaire CEO Deepinder Goyal has been announced to assist companies in managing food expenses. With this feature Zomato is planning to mark its footsteps into the corporate officially.

The company's decision to shut down 'Zomato Legends' was made a few days ago due to the inability of finding a suitable product market fit for it, and this latest development follows soon after.

Announcing the launch on X, Goyal wrote, "I’m thrilled to unveil Zomato for Enterprise (ZFE), a platform created to streamline food expense management for companies. Many Zomato orders made by corporate employees are for business purposes and require company reimbursement, a process that can be cumbersome and time-consuming."

Goyal noted that more than 100 leading companies are already using ZFE, and their feedback has been instrumental in shaping this initiative.

According to Goyal, by providing complete transparency, we take care of everything else while ZFE enhances your employees' convenience.

Very recently, Zomato decided to discontinue its two-year old program 'Zomato Legends', which was an ambitious intercity food delivery service designed to bring specialty dishes from ten different cities in India directly to consumers' homes. This premium offering allowed customers to enjoy renowned delicacies from distant locations, such as ordering Biryani from a celebrated restaurant in Hyderabad while residing in Delhi.

On the other hand, it introduces a new feature called ‘Group Ordering’ that will help the users to share the link with friends, allowing everyone to add items to the cart seamlessly. This feature reduces the difficulties of passing around a phone for everyone to add their orders.

Sequentially, Zomato saw a 26.8% increase in net profit, climbing to 138 crore in the third quarter of FY24. For the full fiscal year 2023-24, Zomato achieved a profit of 351 crore, marking a significant turnaround from the 971 crore loss reported in the preceding year.
